Digits!
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
This is my second project for my Games & IM Class!
You play as my cat, Digit, as he hunts how his prey! Try the grab the rodent before it gets away from your paws!
Controls:
Downloading:
Open GL was being a bit tough with me so it's been made available as a download for Windows or Mac instead!
This file might be a little scary to my classmates so I'm going to do a small walkthrough for downloading it on Windows and Mac systems.
Windows:
You will want to pick the Windows logo download on this page and then download the file. Once downloaded, you will want to extract or "unzip" the files contents . Once extracted, open the file and search for the "Demo Demo" file . Double-click that file and you will be off to enjoy a great cat adventure!
Mac:
Mac users should click the apple logo, and then download the file. Double click the downloaded file to play the game! Enjoy!

just so you know - mac version is unable to load properly. not really sure whats going on but!
I have no idea why, but that's because I don't use a Mac. Abe said it ran though? I'll check with him. Thanks for the heads up!
It works, but like with all other applications you download form the internet, you need to change the security settings to open it. For those having a hard tie with the Mac version: simply go to System Preferences>Security & Privacy> General and allow the app to run (bottom of the General panel). You need admin permission over the machine
I really like the concept of this game. It's entertaining, the theme really captures your attention and the art and style behind it is really well put together. I did feel like the movement was a little fast paced at some points like trying to avoid the nails, but it adds onto the challenge! Nicely done.
Really cute game overall!! Windows tried to tell me that it was a virus lol- but this was easily circumvented. The artstyle and menuing are very cute- you lay out the objective clearly, too, so there's no chance for the player to be lost. You even named the player character- Digit is such a cute name!! I was able to cheese some of the levels a little (no pun intended) by rushing toward the right as soon as the level started, but it was kind of hard to do so. I also appreciate that you gave us three levels to work with instead of keeping it at one! The idea could easily be expanded if you wanted to continue working on this in the future. Great job!! :D
